Every time that you turn on your Xbox 360 console, the light on the attached Kinect sensor flashes green for up to one minute. You might also see the following on-screen message:
The sensor is starting up. Please stand by.
If the light on your sensor flashes for more than 90 seconds, try these steps:
- Restart your console.
- Wait 90 seconds.
If the sensor light does not change to a solid green light, make sure that your console’s software is up to date. Here’s how:
- Insert the Kinect Adventures disc included with your sensor, or connect to Xbox LIVE.
- Select Yes if you are prompted to update the console or sensor software.
